LBE cancelled...Mondrepuis organised 2011 Empty LBE cancelled...Mondrepuis organised 2011

I thought that I'd give abit of an up-date regarding the LBE-substitute for this year: Mondrepuis.

The date will now be the 27-28 August (yes, I know that the NA has an event at that time too...and there's the Zeeland event in the Netherlands too), we couldn't keep the september weekend simply because the local organisor is not available at that time so proposed to reschedule the weekend before. For those in the UK that would turn up though, it is worth noting that it is a BH weekend.

The event will take place within the countryside of the village of Mondrepuis ( which is very close to the Belgian border (south of Charleroi) which is perfect for the 1815 scenario. Last year, my association did a small private event involving campaign marching and immersion bivouac in this area to "test" it's suitability as a LHC site and we took some photos of the event to illustrate the terrain:

The event will be run along the lines of a LHC event (just like the Allied side of LBE was organised) so both sides will be in immersion conditions. Unfortunately, we are not able to cater for cavalry or artillery this year but would like to think that we could do something for 2012. Additionnally, we will not be having any waggon train with us for much the same reasons (ie. organisational issues). Therefore it is an infantry-only, all-you-can-carry, immersion weekend....and the French will also be playing with the same rules.

Please pass the information onto any other groups which would like participate and, of course, let me know what you wish to do.
